Inauguration : Zone Source Book - July, 2010

It was a great day in history of Sungro where a new way of working of sales team was launched by Mr Raju Barwale (MD) who inaugurated Zone Source Book in a 4 day-workshop organised at NAAS, Pusa campus, New delhi. The workshop was also attended by Mr KV Somani, Mr.Shirish Barwale, Mr Anil Jawalkar alongwith all sales and marketing people from all over India. The programme has been organized and coordinated by Dr LK Pandey, National Manager (mktg).

Chairman's Club Meeting -2010

The first meeting of Chairman's Club was held at Mahyco Research Centre at Dawalwadi on 12 th April 2010 which was attended by fourteen distributors across the country.

The Chairman's Club members were welcomed by all HODs of Mahyco alongwith Mr. Shirish Barwale, Director and Mr. Raju Barwale, Managing Director.

The meeting started with welcome address of Mr. Shirish Barwale who explained the objective behind this idea and expressed that company wants to make progress alongwith its key distributors or channel partners.  If company's resources and distributors experience is properly blended and utilized then we can achieve unprecedented progress. He said that our success lies in three key mantras i.e. strong product pipeline, best quality and strong business partners.

The Managing Director, Mr. Raju Barwale expressed that appropriate technology is required to bring second green revolution in the country.  We, as a seed company will have bigger responsibility in time to come.  He also stressed upon the efforts to be made by key distributors to spread the benefits of new technology. We need to bring new products with higher speed using new technologies. He said that next ten years biotechnology will have important roles in vegetables. This has become necessary because farmers need more production from lesser expenses.

Dr. L.K. Pandey expressed that the formation of Chairman's Club like a dream coming true and he introduced the member of first Chairman Club to its Hon. Chairman Shri B.R. Barwale.  The Chairman welcomed all members to the club and congratulated them for joining the club.  All the members were felicitated by Hon. Chairman and a memento was presented to everyone. The Chairman shared his experience about his own life, seeds and seed industry.  All were amazed to listen his story of success achieved through his will power and strong determination.  The Hon'ble Chairman's life is really dedicated to ensure global food security, increasing farmers' income and farm productivity.  Later on he gave away his complimentary copy of his autobiography, “My Journey with seeds and the development of the Indian Seed Industry” to all participants.

All members were very happy and were showing great satisfaction with company products and services.  During the session of open forum all discussed the current business scenario and gave very positive suggestions to strengthen the Sungro brand.

In a technical session Mr. I.P. Dubey / Dr. L.K. Pandey gave presentation on star products and new products in pipeline.  The distributors demanded that there is a need of increasing field activity at grass root level to generate stronger demand for our products.

The distributors were shown all Research facilities including, quality control, bio-technology, tissue culture, genetic laboratories.  The Mahyco scientists explained their innovative and novel projects to distributors.  They all understood that such new projects have potential to change the way of agriculture and are essential for global food security.

Agro Fair-2008

A big Agro Fair named AGROTECH- 2008 ,held in Chandigarh from 28 th Nov to 1 st dec 2008.In this various agriculture companies displayed their products and equipments. Sungro seeds Ltd, Delhi had also participated in Agrotech and displayed their product in a well organized fabricated stall for the farming community. Sungro displayed almost all the products grown in the region. Farmers curiously observed the range of vegetables and enquired technical details about the products. Farmers collected product list including literature, Brochures and Handbills from Sungro stall. Dealers and channel partners of Sungro also came to the stall and exchanged their views for future business transactions. The main attraction of the stall were fresh Tomato, Brinjal , Cauliflower , Radish and Carrot

A Field day was organized by Sungro Marketing Team at the farm of Mr. Jadish in Tonk (Rajasthan) on hybrid Cucumber Malav (No. 243) on 15 th November, 2008 . The crop was sown in the mid of Sep'08 which gave excellent performance against the checks. It was observed that cucumber Malav is 10 days early compared to Malini (Seminis) and the picking started in 35 days of sowing and gave excellent yield. The medium sized and green color fruits were liked by all farmers/growers present on the field. The field day was attended by more than 50 progressive growers and rural retailers of Tonk area along with the dealer M/s Manish Beej Bhandar, Tonk.

Sungro Boost Confidence of Orrisa Farmers by Organising Krishi Sampark Mela at Jharsuguda

A Krishi Mela organised by the District Agricultural Office on 5th September'2007 in Lakhanpur Block, Jharsuguda. On special request of ADO Shri J. P. Parida and local panchayat office M/s Sungro Seeds Limited gave one stall, which is represented by Mr Sanjaya Kumar Parida and Mr Rama Chandra Satpathy.

About 5000 farmers of 120 villages around Jharsuguda district assembled in this Krishi Sampark Mela. This Krishi Mela is organized every year on the occasion of Nuwakhai Festival that is the main festival of Western Orissa. Sungro Seeds Limited both OP and Hybrid products is always in high demand among farmers and Sungro holds the main No.1 Company in this area.
