A Krishi Mela organised by the District Agricultural Office on 5th September'2007 in Lakhanpur Block, Jharsuguda. On special request of ADO Shri J. P. Parida and local panchayat office M/s Sungro Seeds Limited gave one stall, which is represented by Mr Sanjaya Kumar Parida and Mr Rama Chandra Satpathy.


About 5000 farmers of 120 villages around Jharsuguda district assembled in this Krishi Sampark Mela. This Krishi Mela is organized every year on the occasion of Nuwakhai Festival that is the main festival of Western Orissa. Sungro Seeds Limited both OP and Hybrid products is always in high demand among farmers and Sungro holds the main No.1 Company in this area.


Sungro Seeds Limited displayed all their major hybrids namely Brinjal No.132, Brinjal No.305, Brinjal No.038, Bitter Gourd Vivek and No.24 (Aman), C/F No.626 & No. 497, C/F Pushpa, Tomato No.108 & No.621, Bhindi No.7777 (Vaishali) and No.18 etc. sellable product packets along with posters in their stall. Literatures also distributed to farmers and important retailers and dealers, Govt. & Non Govt. officials. Everyone who visited the Sungro stall were attended with special care and their each and every queries answered one by one. Every one updated with all the Sungro running products and coming pipeline products especially Tomato & Brinjal Bacterial Wilt tolerant varieties. All who visited the Sungro Stall left the counter with full satisfaction and with great hope.


Sungro Seeds limited also arranged one video show in which they played the Sungro Film depicting the full Sungro process from developing the hybrids and up to distribution to the farmer level. Farmers got lot of confidence and mental boost up after observing the video show and how they can benefit themselves after using Sungro products.

Over all the participation of Sungro Seeds limited in the Krishi Sampark Mela proved to be a Grand Success and this participation will not only give mileage to boost the company sales but will also help in introduction of new hybrids to the farmer community in the days to come.
